A new pet.

Today Michael and I were in the kitchen and we kept hearing a loud thump on the sliding glass door and the family room window, we couldn't figure out what it could be, we looked outside and saw that it was a pretty parakeet. I was worried about it and Michael told me that if he caught it we would have a new pet, because more than likely we wouldn't be able to find the parakeets owner. All of the kids were super excited to have a bird and Michael was telling them about his pretty bird ( that is what the kids have named it is pretty bird). Although, when Braxton came home from piano lessons he was concerned that we needed to go out and make fliers for "lost bird". If we see fliers about someones lost bird of course we will return it, but more than likely we may have a new pet. It seems like it is a pretty young bird. If it were a dog or cat we would do fliers or call the humane society and return it. I'm sure even if we end up returning it the kids would really like to go and buy one of our own. We are having a good time anyways taking care of it and the kids think it is really neat.

That it amazing that the bird wanted in your house. Maybe it new you would take good care of it. I bet Michael is excited to have a bird again. I remember his last couple of Pretty Birds in the good old days that he loved.

Wow, it's Pretty Bird reincarnate!! I'm trying to remember if the original Pretty Bird escaped from its cage or if the dog/cat/ceiling fan got it.... maybe it has been flying around in the jet stream all these years and has returned home (birds live a long time). Does the thing talk or say anything?

oh, and I'd clip it's wings if you haven't already... or you will have an escapee on your hands soon.
