Merry Christmas

I think that we are the only parents with kids who don't get up Christmas morning at the break of dawn. Our kids are really nice about letting us sleep in and they have always been that way not sure why. This Christmas we all got up at 9:30 am. We did stay up late on Christmas Eve but still. We had a great time opening gifts. I even helped Santa by making a Tepee for the kids to play in and they all fit it in it at the same time although not very comfortably. With all of the snow that we have been getting Landon, Madison and Makenna were able to go out Christmas day and sled down our driveway. They have been playing in the snow every chance they get.

Christmas Eve

We all opened up our new pjs and watched It's a Wonderful Life....The kids really liked the movie and their new pj's. Braxton is also wearing a knitted hat, if your head sticks around here long enough it may get a knitted hat. I'm addicted now. The picture of the girls laughing is when Michael was taking their picture and he was being silly.

I have always wanted to knit so yesterday I tried to teach myself. I made these hats and the girls love them Horray.

More Snow

Landon has been in Snow Heaven this week. Landon is constantly going outside, he loves the snow, he and his friend Josh have been sledding down our driveway, it's not that steep but it did get pretty icy. It has been snowing since Sunday and therefore no school this week. Today the sun has come out so maybe they will have school tomorrow. :)

Having fun in the snow

It started to snow Sunday morning around 8 am. We made it too church because Braxton was going to give a talk in sacrament. We got new councelors in the bishopric, so Braxton's talk was postponed...:( He says he is fine about the postponement. They let everyone go home after sacrament meeting, which I have to be honest, was kinda nice. It continued to snow the rest of the day, Landon, Madison, and Makenna had fun playing in it. The rest of us stayed in the warm house...:) They also cancelled school today :( Braxton was not happy about that either. He wants to make sure that he gets through all of his Accelerated Algebra II book. (crazy I know, but that is Braxton) I think that Landon, Madison, and Makenna were glad to stay home.

Christmas Tree Mountain

The Saturday after Thanksgiving we decided to go up to Christmas Tree Mountain to cut down a tree.....It was so much fun, we drove up to the mountain, it was foggy and the kids were saying they liked being in the clouds....We got there, hopped on the wagon ride, they drove us around until we found a spot that we wanted to search for the perfect tree....we walked around and the kids kept finding some great ones.....we finally found one that we thought would fit perfectly in our family room and chopped it down....then we hitched a ride back down the mountain on the wagon ride, they brought us our tree, put it in a baling machine, which tied it up all nice, we put it on our roof and headed home....It was soooo fun we may just go back next year. :)

Super Makenna

I was trying to keep Makenna busy while I was doing Primary stuff on the computer.

So, we put on Blues Clues and they were wearing capes, so she went and got hers on(thanks grandma).

Turning 15 on the 15th.....Happy Birthday Braxton...

Braxton turned 15 this past Saturday on the 15th...

After his crazy school days he just wanted a relaxing day with nothing to do but play the Wii....

His wish was granted....he also wanted some sugar cookies, so we all decorated some it was pretty fun....

Carving Pumpkins

We had lots of fun last night carving pumpkins, they turned out pretty cute.... Michael and Landon are enjoying the pumpkin seeds that they roasted....Braxton also decided to carve an apple and pose with his best pumpkin face......all in all it was a fun evening..

Fall Fun

We have been to a few apple farms this fall checking out all of the pumpkins and activities. Here are a few pics....Landon was on a Scout Campout by Mt. St. Helens, they hiked in the Ape Caves http://away.com/tripideas/mount-st-helens-caving-300962.html The largest contiguous lava tube in the Western Hemisphere....so, this past weekend we went again so that Landon could have some fun in the dark hay maze with Braxton, Madi and Mak (Makenna) just a side note Makenna told me that she wanted her name to be Mak so she didn't have to write all of her name when she is doing her homework ...:)....they were having a great time in the dark Maze playing hide-n-seek.....

Happy Birthday Landon and Michael!!

It is sooo fun to have Landon and Michael's birthdays on the same day.....

This year was especially great....Their birthdays were on a Sunday this year and Landon turned 12..... so he was ordained a deacon on his birthday pretty special...he also had fun doing fast offerings with Braxton.....

Oregon Coast part 2 return to Cape Lookout :)

We all love camping soooo much that a few weeks ago we went again before school was to start....We got bit by mosquitos, rained on.....and had a super time.....

We love getting away, looking at the stars, playing games, talking, riding bikes, all sleeping in the tent together and talking and laughing.....the kids did some skits which were great....Michael made a digital scavanger hunt for the kids....they would find the item and take a picture of it...very fun...we had fun watching a Golden Eagle....Madison loved to feed the Sea birds....Michael made some Lawn darts out of sticks for Landon he had a great time with them....and of course the kids love to be on the beach.....playing in the sand, water and finding sea shells....

I added a picture of a squirrel that came in the fire pit.....I was riding bikes with Landon and Madi and when we came back Michael said that he had a picture of our dinner....silly squirrel...glad there was no fire....
