Multnomah Falls

Today we decided that it had been a few years since we had been to Multnomah falls so we hopped in the car and headed on over there. I don't think that we were the only ones with the same idea it was pretty crowded. So we decided to go on the least crowded hike and maybe after we were done with that the crowds may have dwindled a bit. Here are the kiddos heading up the Horsetail falls trail.

Landon in front of Multnomah falls.

Braxton waving at us as he headed back down the trail.

Makenna checking out Wahkeena falls.

Madison posing at the end of Wahkeena falls.

Up at Wahkeena falls we thought it was pretty neat all of the mist that was coming off of the waterfall. Very refreshing. You can even see all of the mist.

Wahkeena falls.

Heading up the trail. Of course Landon was always in front of the pack. I said to Michael the first thing that Landon will say to us is "What took you so long?" and guess what I must know him pretty well because, yep you guessed it that is the first thing that he said to us.

Braxton and Makenna posing.

We thought this was a pretty cute little waterfall coming out of the rock wall.

I took pictures of the boys looking as if they were drinking from the waterfall and of course Makenna didn't want to be left out.

Weekend fun

The girls had fun on the tire swing that looked like a horse.

Sweet, pretty little tulips.

The cow train making its way through the tulips.

The girls also had fun riding on the cow train, could be because the drivers were crazy teenagers and went super fast, you had to hold on for dear life.

Racing ducks.

Madison really wanted her picture taken by the Windmill, since her teacher is from Holland.

This past weekend while the boys were on a Scout Campout, the rest of us drove down to Woodburn to the Tulip festival we had a great time and it was beautiful.

Coloring Eggs

The kids had fun coloring eggs.

Happy Easter

Today we went to the Fair grounds to check out the festivities. The girls are still young enough to go on the Easter egg hunts for their age groups. Makenna rode a pony named Midnight, since Madison has ridden a horse she thought that the ponies are for little kids and she would rather ride a horse. The girls also had fun going down the inflatable slide. Poor Braxton is too old now for these types of activities so he kept me company. Landon was on a Scout campout on the Oregon coast. He got to go to a fish hatchery and clip baby Chinook Salmon fins (they do this so that the fishermen know the wild fish from the hatchery fish)

Wild Animal Safari

I have always wanted to go to the Wild Animal Safari Park in Winston, OR. Today, was the day that we were able to go. We left early this morning and drove the 2 1/2 hour drive down to Winston, Oregon. We had so much fun. We saw lots of wild animals just roaming around, except for the Elephants, Cheetahs, Tigers, Lions, Hippo, and Bears had fences around them, but all the other animals just roamed freely around where ever they wanted to go....some of them would come right up to the car window, and our windows were down...we were thinking that the Ostrich and the Llama's were getting a little too close inside the window. The Elephants were giving car washes....it was fun to watch....We enjoyed seeing the Zebra's just wandering around close to the car you could almost reach out and touch them. I really enjoyed seeing the Giraffe's they would just walk around the cars, soooo fun. It was alot of fun. Now I can check it off my list of things I want to do... :)
