Madison and our Christmas tree

Madison in front of our tree, we are going to hopefully finish hanging up the ornaments either today or tomorrow. :)
should be a good Sunday or FHE activity.

our bird

The bird as found a new landing pad. In the kitchen above our table, we will have to be very careful when we are eating that nothing lands on our food....yucky..
The bird likes to fly into our entry way and land on our mirror and talk to its "friend" . It is fun to have around.

our poor puppy

Puppy is getting very old and has been very sick since August. Here she is after my attempt at cutting her hair and bandaging her up.

Makenna and her bird feather.

Makenna had one of our birds feathers, and she came in and told me that it broke and that she needed some FEATHER TAPE to fix it.

Makenna loves cheese

Landon and his creative food invention.

Landon likes to take cut pickles and put them in rolls, sometimes he even adds ketchup....yumm yumm. He likes to be creative with his food.

Makenna

Speaking of pickles, Makenna calls cucumbers pickles, the other night Makenna came and told me that she washed her hair with pickles and doesn't it smell good, she was so proud of herself. After contemplating what she had just told me I remembered that there was some shampoo that we have that has cucumbers on it, and that is what she had used. So now when she goes to get in the bathtub she says she is going to wash her hair with the pickle shampoo. :)

Madison has lost her 2nd tooth..

Madison lost her 2nd tooth. Horray. Although the Toothfairy must have been very busy the night that she was supossed to come to our house and trade Madison's tooth for some money, so the next night the Toothfairy had to leave double......oops....Madison was happy to get more money tho'. So, it all worked out.

Makenna had tons of fun with all of the Halloween costumes.

Makenna loved dressing up in all of the costume. Here are a few of them, there are alot more of her in different costumes I will put on later.

Madison wanted to be a witch for school.

Madison decided at the last moment, literally 5 minutes before the school bus came, that she wanted to be a witch for the school Halloween party, so I hurried and found some what little black fabric I had and we wrapped it around her shoulders like a cape. She liked it so that was good. :)

Landon loves Krispy Kreme donuts!!

Landon loves Krispy Kreme donuts, last year for Christmas he got a gift card for his own dozen donuts...YUM!

Madison

Madison has always loved bunny's ever since she was super little. She didn't want any whiskers or the tail tho'.

Madison feeding Ellie

This past July, Kristina, Newell, Jacob, and Ellie came up to our house to visit us. We had alot of fun, We got to watch Ellie when Kristina, Newell, and Jacob went up to Seattle to a Mariners and Red Sox game. It took Ellie a little while to get used to us, she is a super sweetie (I don't even think she ever cries) We loved watching her. Ellie wasn't quite sure about me feeding her tho', but she loved it when Madison fed her....So, here is a cute pic of Madison feeding Ellie some yogurt. Too cute....

Flower Girls

Madison and Makenna picked some flowers in the backyard and put them in their hair....then of course they wanted their picture taken.

Making puppy look pretty.

Madison and Makenna love to help give the dog a bath, blowdry, and brush puppy. We end up with alot of water all over the kitchen but it is still fun. Here are the girls blowdrying and brushing puppy.

Madison graduated from Kindergarten

Congrats Madison, you now are going to be in 1st grade.....:)

At the end of this past school year Landon and Madison picked out flowers and potted them to give to their teachers. The tag said "Thank you for helping me grow this year" they had fun giving them to their teachers and the teachers loved them.

Makenna wanted to make one too....

MMMMMM......Yummy Frosting

Makenna loves frosting...

Our Annual Trip to the Fireworks

Every year in June to start off the Rose Festival in Oregon they have a really fun Fireworks show on the waterfront in Portland. We have gone every year since we have lived here and we have alot of fun going. We get the glow in the dark stuff and the kids have a great time. One of the lightsticks cracked and my hand started glowing, Michael took it and put it on his pants and they glowed pretty crazy stuff...

Makenna had a long day...so she got a blanket and went to sleep on the chair. Her hair is slowly growing back after Madison cut it for her :)

We still have the bird, we are trying to get it to sit on our shoulders. He is fun to have around.

A new pet.

Today Michael and I were in the kitchen and we kept hearing a loud thump on the sliding glass door and the family room window, we couldn't figure out what it could be, we looked outside and saw that it was a pretty parakeet. I was worried about it and Michael told me that if he caught it we would have a new pet, because more than likely we wouldn't be able to find the parakeets owner. All of the kids were super excited to have a bird and Michael was telling them about his pretty bird ( that is what the kids have named it is pretty bird). Although, when Braxton came home from piano lessons he was concerned that we needed to go out and make fliers for "lost bird". If we see fliers about someones lost bird of course we will return it, but more than likely we may have a new pet. It seems like it is a pretty young bird. If it were a dog or cat we would do fliers or call the humane society and return it. I'm sure even if we end up returning it the kids would really like to go and buy one of our own. We are having a good time anyways taking care of it and the kids think it is really neat.

Madison cut Makenna's hair :(

2 Sundays ago after church, Michael was at the church for a meeting, I was resting upstairs because of a headache, the boys were doing their own thing. Madison and Makenna came upstairs to let me know that Madison had cut Makenna's hair and they needed help cleaning up all the hair :( at first I wasn't sure what she was talking about until I got a good look at what was left of Makennas bangs and the big chunk cut out of the back of her hair clear to the scalp. I still haven't really taken a close up picture of the new haircut that Madison gave Makenna, maybe I should and then I might be able to use it as blackmail when the girls get older :). Needless to say I wasn't very happy, ever since we took away Makenna's pacifier she twists and pulls out her hair, so her hair was already very thin. I tried to fix it but we will just have to wait for it to grow back, and then maybe we can look back on this with fond memories and laugh. Later in the week me and the girls went to a Primary Presidency meeting and we all shared stories about kids cutting their own or others hair. After Madison had heard all of the stories she said to me " Now are you more happy about me cutting Makenna's hair?" Hopefully Madison won't try to cut anymore hair.

Makenna loves to put on her dress up shoes and a dress and dance and sing around the house. Very cute.
