Making puppy look pretty.

Madison and Makenna love to help give the dog a bath, blowdry, and brush puppy. We end up with alot of water all over the kitchen but it is still fun. Here are the girls blowdrying and brushing puppy.

Madison graduated from Kindergarten

Congrats Madison, you now are going to be in 1st grade.....:)

At the end of this past school year Landon and Madison picked out flowers and potted them to give to their teachers. The tag said "Thank you for helping me grow this year" they had fun giving them to their teachers and the teachers loved them.

Makenna wanted to make one too....

MMMMMM......Yummy Frosting

Makenna loves frosting...

Our Annual Trip to the Fireworks

Every year in June to start off the Rose Festival in Oregon they have a really fun Fireworks show on the waterfront in Portland. We have gone every year since we have lived here and we have alot of fun going. We get the glow in the dark stuff and the kids have a great time. One of the lightsticks cracked and my hand started glowing, Michael took it and put it on his pants and they glowed pretty crazy stuff...

Makenna had a long day...so she got a blanket and went to sleep on the chair. Her hair is slowly growing back after Madison cut it for her :)

We still have the bird, we are trying to get it to sit on our shoulders. He is fun to have around.

A new pet.

Today Michael and I were in the kitchen and we kept hearing a loud thump on the sliding glass door and the family room window, we couldn't figure out what it could be, we looked outside and saw that it was a pretty parakeet. I was worried about it and Michael told me that if he caught it we would have a new pet, because more than likely we wouldn't be able to find the parakeets owner. All of the kids were super excited to have a bird and Michael was telling them about his pretty bird ( that is what the kids have named it is pretty bird). Although, when Braxton came home from piano lessons he was concerned that we needed to go out and make fliers for "lost bird". If we see fliers about someones lost bird of course we will return it, but more than likely we may have a new pet. It seems like it is a pretty young bird. If it were a dog or cat we would do fliers or call the humane society and return it. I'm sure even if we end up returning it the kids would really like to go and buy one of our own. We are having a good time anyways taking care of it and the kids think it is really neat.

Madison cut Makenna's hair :(

2 Sundays ago after church, Michael was at the church for a meeting, I was resting upstairs because of a headache, the boys were doing their own thing. Madison and Makenna came upstairs to let me know that Madison had cut Makenna's hair and they needed help cleaning up all the hair :( at first I wasn't sure what she was talking about until I got a good look at what was left of Makennas bangs and the big chunk cut out of the back of her hair clear to the scalp. I still haven't really taken a close up picture of the new haircut that Madison gave Makenna, maybe I should and then I might be able to use it as blackmail when the girls get older :). Needless to say I wasn't very happy, ever since we took away Makenna's pacifier she twists and pulls out her hair, so her hair was already very thin. I tried to fix it but we will just have to wait for it to grow back, and then maybe we can look back on this with fond memories and laugh. Later in the week me and the girls went to a Primary Presidency meeting and we all shared stories about kids cutting their own or others hair. After Madison had heard all of the stories she said to me " Now are you more happy about me cutting Makenna's hair?" Hopefully Madison won't try to cut anymore hair.

Makenna loves to put on her dress up shoes and a dress and dance and sing around the house. Very cute.

Happy Birthday Madison :)

This year we were in Utah for Madison's birthday, it was the Sunday of conference. Although, she was very excited to visit grandparents and see President Hinckley for her birthday, she thought that was pretty special. The Sunday of her birthday we were at Raelyn's house and Raelyn had made a cake for her which was really nice. We watched conference and the kids played. When we got back to the hotel, Michael took the kids swimming, they loved that. When we got back home we made Madison another cake so we could take some pictures. She liked having a week long birthday :).

The girls and I painting nails.

The girls and I decided it would be fun to paint fingernails and toenails. I have to admit they did pretty good putting polish on my toes. I gave them a light color, that way it wouldn't matter if they didn't stay on the nails :).

Some of our adventures on our Utah trip.

Well, I finally got Michael to drive me and the kids down to Southern Utah. It has been almost 4 years since we have been there. We had alot of fun and saw alot of people (we didn't stop in Boise :( it seemed when we passed through it was late at night. We need an Adams Family reunion SOON..) I got to spend alot of time with my sister Kristina and her 2 super cute kids & we spent time with both sets of grandparents. It was fun to see Mom and Dad Adams' new house, very nice! We went to the St. George Temple visitors center to watch the new Joseph Smith Movie, it was very good. My parents took us all out by the white rocks out past Apple Valley to ride the 4 wheelers, that was super fun, the kids had a blast. We all got sunburnt, we are not used to all that sun, it forgets to shine sometimes up here in Oregon. We also had a potluck picnic at the park in Hurricane, we saw alot of relatives, everyone is just growing up sooooo fast, it was super great seeing everyone that was there and catching up on what everyone has been up to and seeing their kids, that was one of the highlights of our trip. The weekend of General Conference we went up to Salt Lake, so we could go to Conference. We were able to go to the Sat. afternoon session, it was a really neat experience, President Hinckley didn't talk at that session, but it was still neat to be able to see him. We really enjoyed it. That evening my dad, Newell, Michael and Braxton went to the Priesthood session, they all really enjoyed that as well, hopefully, we will be able to go again.

Michael, Braxton, Landon, and Madison. All the years that Michael and I grew up and lived in Utah neither one of us had been to the Hill Air Force Base Museum. So, on the way home we stopped to check out all of the planes, it was really neat and free (we like free activities).

Sorry, this picture is dark (forgot to put on the flash) but it is so cute. Jacob and Makenna were reading books to eachother.

Michael and Makenna climbed up the rock. Makenna wasn't too sure about it at first, she has never really liked heights (she doesn't even like to sit on our bar stools) but she seemed fine once she was up there.

Landon taking Grandma and Madison for a ride.

Braxton taking Grandpa and Madison for a ride.

Landon enjoying his soda.

Makenna drinking her soda.

Grandpa, Braxton and Madison heading out on the 4 wheeler. We all had a super fun time that day.

Michael and Newell decorating the rocks with clay pigeons, cans, jugs, bottles, anything they could shoot. It was fun to watch them in all of their creativity.

Madison and Grandpa riding on the 4 wheeler.

Braxton taking his turn at shooting.

Michael shooting up pop cans and bottles. This was the highlight of the trip for Michael.

Makenna and Jacob having a snack.

Michael and Landon heading out on the 4 wheeler.

Braxton riding the 4 wheeler. He had alot of fun riding through the mud. He also had a 4 wheeler accident, but he still drove it after it landed on him. The boys had alot of fun driving them.

Michael, Madison and Jacob exploring the rocks.

Makenna riding on the stuffed lion.

Happy Birthday Makenna!!!

Happy Birthday Makenna!!! Can't believe that she is 3.

We had to cut out a piece of her cake and put the candles on it to let her blow them out, because she has had the flu (so much for the flu shots that we all got :( )At least she was a little back to herself for her b-day. We just hope she keeps the brownies down, but Michael said "Hey if she doesn't, I guess she will get to enjoy the brownies twice." Kind of gross I know, but after a week of no sleep and cleaning up after her, and doing lots of laundry. I needed a laugh and Michael always makes me laugh so it was good....:)

Makenna and her birthday cake, or actually I should say brownies with frosting....I asked her if she would like a cake or brownies and she said "brownies!"

The kids having a great time ripping up the wrapping paper. Who knew we could have just got out some wrapping paper....but isn't that the way it always goes...kids like the stuff that the gifts come in better :) Braxton too busy on his palm pilot to know what is going on around him....lol

Makenna opening one of her b-day presents. You can't really see her crown too well in the picture....but Madison didn't have school today and she thought that we should make Makenna a Happy Birthday crown, so the girls and I made crowns today....fun....
