One last campout of the summer

This past week we went camping at our favorite place Cape Lookout. We usually like to wake up early during low tide and pick up sand dollars and shells, this time we went to different beaches and had a super great time picking up Oregon Jade, Milky Quartz, Agate, Jasper, and Zeolites....We have now found a new hobby that we like to do as a family. We had fun exploring.

Cape Disappointment State Park in Washington

We could see North Lighthouse from the beach by our campsite very pretty. Landon took this picture for me.
A picture from our campsite to the beach very close, we love to hear the waves crashing while we are sleeping in the tent. At night and in the morning you could see the ocean mist.

This past weekend we went camping at Cape Disappointment State Park in Washington, it was really fun and we got to see alot of fun things that we hadn't seen before.

Fort Columbia

We all had fun playing around this place.

Having fun Friday evening exploring Astoria

Wondering if the Car Carrier would make it under the bridge.
Makenna ringing the loud bell.
Madison ringing the bell.

Daddy and Makenna seeing if they could make the dock move.

Enjoying the view off the dock on the waterfront.

Standing next to the large anchor.

The kiddos by a replica of a indian burial canoe. Makenna asked me before she went to stand by it if there really was anyone buried in it. I assured her there wasn't.

The views from the top of the Astoria Column were amazing. We all climbed up the 164 steps to the top.

Outside the Astoria Column.

Michael and Madison coming down the column.

Daddy and Braxton looking off the column.

The bridge that connects Oregon to Washington going over the Columbia River. It is the longest continuous truss bridge in North America.

North Lighthouse

On the trail we could see the beach by the campground our campsite was jut where the sand meets the trees, very close to the beach.

Hiking to the North Lighthouse, this is the lighthouse that we could see from the beach by our campsite. The boys went up to the top.
