Landon and Makenna checking out the octopus tree.

Daddy, Landon, and Madison checking out the octopus tree. The tree is a Sitka Spruce that has alot of branches like an octopus. When we first got up to it and were reading the sign Landon read Sitka wrong. He called it a Stinka tree, he wouldn't go near it at first because he thought it would stink. After Michael and I had a good laugh, we convinced him it wouldn't stink. :)

I love this picture too cute. Daddy and Makenna on our hike up to see the octopus tree that is across from the Cape Meares lighthouse.

Cape Meares Lighthouse Oregon

Cape Meares lighthouse near Tillamook, OR. Michael, Braxton, Landon, Madison, and Makenna are up in the lighthouse. The kids thought it was pretty neat. They each made a souvenier penny.

Pictures from our fun campout at Cape Lookout, Oregon

Madison in one of her many model poses she likes to do. :)

Makenna being her cute self, while I take her picture.

Hi Braxton. This was a cool part of a tree at our campsite that the kids liked to use as a tunnel.

Here is another cool spot that Madison wanted her picture taken. :)

Madison found this cool tree and told me that it would make a great picture. So of course we had to take one.

Landon and Madison were checking stuff out all over the camp. They had a great time.

Landon and Madison climbing over a tree that had fallen down.

Landon and Madison (and Madison's bunny that goes everywhere with her) exploring.

Braxton exploring the campsite. Finding lots of fun critters and birds.

Saturday. Time to take down the tent and pack everything up.

Makenna exploring. The picture is a little fuzzy, she wouldn't hold still long enough for me to take her picture.

Michael cooking our yummy tinfoil dinners.

Friday night dinner at the campsite. Our menu was Mac and Cheese, hot dogs, tin foil dinners, followed by some yummy smores. Braxton was the only child that would taste one tho' the other kids just ate the chocolate candy bars. Michael, and Melissa enjoyed the smores. mmmmm yummy :)

Braxton playing in the sand and water. On saturday morning we went out and were hunting for sand dollars. We found alot of pieces but no complete ones (but we still had fun) Madison and I were walking together and the boys were running around. Braxton was talking to everyone (it seemed) that was walking on the beach. He asked some people if they had found any whole sand dollars, they had found 4, he then proceeded to ask them if he could have one for his mom. (glad I wasn't there :) ) When we were heading back to camp they asked Braxton if he found any whole ones he said he hadn't, so they gave him one. Which was very nice. Needless to say we still came home with tons of pieces of sand dollars (or as Landon likes to call them sea dollars).

Landon and Madison walking along the beach. They had so much fun. Landon and Braxton loved picking up handfuls of sand and throwing it in the ocean. Madison was so cute running around the beach picking up pieces of sand dollars it was like hunting easter eggs. She was running everywhere. She kept saying she didn't want to leave any shells behind. We had a great time.

Another picture of Daddy and Makenna walking along the beach. Too cute.

Daddy and Makenna searching for some sand dollars at the beach. Cape Lookout. Oregon Coast. At first Makenna wanted nothing to do with getting her feet wet and sandy. So, mommy carried her for quite sometime, until Michael convinced her it was ok to get her feet dirty. After that she loved picking up rocks and shells. She learned some new words on our trip. Ocean, Water, Bubbles, Awesome, Rocks.

Madison and Makenna.

Madison pushing Makenna in the shopping cart. Notice Madison's poses :) Don't notice the pile of laundry in the hall waiting for its turn in the washing machine. :)

Stomping on poppers for the 4th of July.

The kids stomping on poppers. Makenna was dancing around and jumping. She thought jumping on the poppers was pretty fun.

Riding the carousel.

Madison on the horse again. She is our adventurous child. She could ride on a horse, real or not, all day long.

The boys and Makenna eating tator-tots. After, riding the carousel 1 time, the boys would rather eat.

Madison having lots of fun on the horse.

Madison on the horse on the carousel. She was in heaven, she loves horses. She rode on the carousel 3 times.

Braxton and Landon on the carousel. I'm not sure why they weren't on horses??

Daddy and Makenna getting off of the carousel.

The Carousel was going so fast that I couldn't get very many good pictures of the kids. Here is Braxton's fuzzy mug.

Daddy holding Makenna, she was okay on the merry-go-round horse for the first couple of minutes, and then she grabbed Michael's shirt in a death grip and so he held her for the rest of the ride. When the ride was over, we asked her if she wanted to ride the horse again. She said "NO". Not sure if we will be able to get her on another horse again.

Playing at the Washington Park playground.

Landon posing for a picture for me. He was running around the playground so much, I couldn't get a picture of him, I had to ask him to stop and pose for me.

Braxton and Makenna going down the twirly slide.

Braxton playing in the black thing (I have no idea what it is). Madison is on the rope thingy.

Madison out of the blue slide, she was running around the playground so fast that I could barely get her picture.

Daddy and Makenna coming down the slide, you can't really see them with all of the other kids around, they are just coming out of the blue slide.

Makenna in the swing, she wasn't too sure about the swing. She isn't very daring, a few swings back and forth and she was finished.

Mommy and Makenna at the park by the rose gardens. Having fun swinging in the swing.
